The color of President Obama’s dress and innerwear

CAANS system color of inner wear for President Obama

A new piece of research has determined what the most attractive color of President Obama’s underwear is. Personally, I think that this is a bit too intrusive especially if the person concerned is a distinguished leader of our world even if it is just a fun game to pass time, but then again it may be fitting retribution for perhaps having spied on the private affairs of another distinguished leader – Angela Merkel : - )   (UPDATE: A new edition of the book has given a second favorable color for President Obama's inner wear that is chocolate like, LOL. It is illustrated below )

A CAANS System Dress Color for President Obama (Lower inner wear)

Researchers at universities, even as I was one once, often have to come up with new research projects all the time, in order to apply for research grants that government agencies are obliged to disburse to impress the public for a good use of their tax contributions. In a quest for new projects, researchers often come up with weird topics to research, but this piece of research must take the cake, even though it is not a funded one.

Suggested dress colors for some famous personalities
However, on a serious note and to be fair to this apparently innovative study on the contribution of dress color to emotional plus psychological impact and human success, this system of color selection dubbed CAANS is not limited to inner wear. It primarily researches what the best color of other items of dress is for different personalities based on their easily ascertained and simple personal data. It should be helpful for most since many of us end up dressing in colors that are both safe and customary which do not bring out the best in us or are awkward. The suggestions for dresses of some famous persons are shown in the second image (shirt color for men or tie color with white shirt and full dresses for the ladies). The image below is the dress colors image is of an Asian lady's dress in a color similar to that suggested for Angelina Jolie here.

Looks like George Bush has already discovered his shirt/tie color from experience (as many successful people do) as revealed in this picture.

UPDATE  Feb 21, 2014: Apart from some famous persons mentioned here, this blogger tried to apply the system for dress colors of friends, family and some more famous persons. It only takes minutes by referring to the tables in the books. The results were surprisingly good and this blogger is unable to understand how this happens because his belief in astrology and numerology is not firm but rather peripheral even though certain numbers have been repeatedly significant in his life. . What is even more surprising is the way in which such data has been connected to colors. It has not been explained how the numbers were deduced except for some hints perhaps because the method appears to be concerned with practical application of the system rather than the mechanics of how the numbers were arrived at as a first step. Even the assignment of colors to males and females appears to be appropriate even though that data is not an input into the system. Truly, the method appears to have an element of mysticism. Perhaps a future more detailed publication by the author would explain. It would be of interest to astrologers and numerologists for the rest application suffices.  Closer at home Shri Narendra Modi is slated  to become the next Prime Minister of India was born on September 17, 1950 as per public records. His suggested effective dress color ( NAMO Blue) is

It may be pointed out that the system is for everyone, not just famous personalities. If they have been selected in this blog, it is merely because of wider readership interests. The book can be found here

Boy! is this post hitting the charts, from the rate at which it is rising on the populars posts column. Only one other earlier post did it faster earlier and it was on an equally outrageous topic ( on food) :)

Ashok,

Are you sure you're not the one to have started the research project and had been away from FB for a long time? Where do you find such a weird project?

Today, I happened to find out this fact from the book written by an Michelle Rhee, an American educator. She wrote that the amount of money went into the education in last 20 to 30 years have been almost tripled, but the result hasn't shown.

This is shocking because I see people promoting the government to spend more on education, not on wars. They are probably spending on wars, but also on education. So I wonder what is happening to the money.
Ashok said…
Keiko governments must continue to spend in some areas of life and these include education and health aside from banks, roads electricity and water services. Private entities make a mess of these areas. However, monitoring is required for proper use.

I left a similar comment on education on facebook for you on the essay. However, this post is about dress color. What are your views on that ?

Ashok,

I thought the topic was Obama's underwear. I think you have a problem in the construction of this post as an essay! Is this British style essay, or Canadian, or Indian?

On colors, I can write a book about them.
Ashok said…
This is British Tabloid style Keiko,

Catch heading followed by a mish mash of content around a topic - this time dress color. Tell more about dress color please. I guess earlier proposals used skin, hair colors, traditions and some psychology to decide it aside from taste and preference. This one seems to be a completely new approach that leads to dress color, even inner wear color.

Keiko, what is the name of the shade shown for Angelin Jolie's dress. Is it a shade of Gold?
keiko amano said…
I love your definition: British Tabloid style. That's it. The Times must be a tabloid newspaper or trying to be it so that they can make more money. Well, failing economy must have a lot to do with many weird things.

The above Angelina Jolie's color seems to my eyes like brownish yellow. I think gold is more yellow and shining.
Ashok said…
Right on Keiko :)

Yes it i amazing what that kind of style can do to circulation. Guess people need to get stimulated out of the slumber of routine that many lives are driven to in the modern industrial age.

About colors,I like all kinds, and they all depend on other color or colors. And of course, it's all about subtle difference in shade and brightness.

Also it's TPO, time, place, and occasion. If you're used to wear white shirt almost every work day, then if you wear an olive green shirt (I don't know peridot color), once a week, people will notice you. It will be quite pleasantly surprising to see someone who usually looks conservative and colorless suddenly wearing a color dress or shirt. It will attract people's eyes, and you'll probably have more opportunities for conversation. So, definitely, I recommend you go get a green shirt, and have someone take your picture and show us in your next blog.

I'll give you more tip on colors after I see your new photo with a green shirt.

Yes I found by color by this system. It turned out to be light sort of green. There was no ready made shirt in the shops in that color so I have brought the requisite length for a summer shirt. It will be given to the tailors soon.

I will ost a picture of the fabric for now on facebook tomorrow.

By the way Keiko Amano if you can tell me your month and date of birth (the year is not needed) I shall ascertain the color of dress by CAANS system and post it here (in R G B ) values.

Just changed my blog title to my recommended color.
keiko amano said…
Ashok,

I forgot to mention before that the color of your title needs to be stronger to give a great contrast. So the previous red is better than the current light olive green, and you can also experiment with dark green or blue. Definitely it will be more attractive to our eyes.
Ashok said…
I just posted your recommended CAANS dress color on facebook. Thanks about the title color I shall try and improve it.
Ashok said…
YOur color was the loveliest shade of blue with RGB 100,175,175
Ashok said…
Keiko, changed the title to a much darker shade of the same. How is it now?
keiko amano said…
It's definitely better although I personally like more contrast. Also, now L of Life protrudes the line. I think it looks better if the title is inside the frame line.
keiko amano said…
Can you try the following color combination for your title?

Life - golden yellow
and - my blue 100, 175, 175
Spirituality - light lavender

This will stimulate the eyes of readers. You already have blue, green, and red in the background landscape, so adding those three colors will stand out.
Ashok said…
Keiko, this is through the blogger template and they do not give this sort of choice. There is no possibility of choosing RBG but colors are clicked on a diagram. Also they place the title on their own that is why the first letter is a bit out. I will try by inserting a period in front of the title and see if that shifts it.
Ashok said…
Keiko I tried golden yellow for the entire title but it was too light and the letters did not show. Darkening it became like before but slightly better I think.
keiko amano said…
Ashok,

Come to think of it, my previous suggestion would not work because of the shades of the backgroud. They are not bright green or blue or red. Besides, it won't be you.

But between the red title you used to show and the current olive, I like the red title better. It's a bit more cheerful than the olive one although I like the color itself.
keiko amano said…
I looked at it again, and I liked the overall effect. It looks quite sophisticated and refreshing because you had the red title for a long time. I think if you change it again to other color a while later, then we feel refreshed again. But it depends on how many times we look at it. If some readers see your post only a few times a year, then it won't make much difference. Lately I see it everyday, so I enjoy a bit of the changes you're trying to make. Either way, I like the photo of the Nainital lake.

It's true that readers and viewers like changes. I should change my photos also, but right now my camera is broken.
Ashok said…
Thanks Keiko. After some time we shall try another color. This one emerged out of your suggestion of gold ( by darkening it) and after some time I shall try darkening turquoise and also Lavender and see how it looks.

Today, I was at my local hardware store and saw a key holder attached to a marine-blue spiral ring. I thought that was my color according to the CAAN System! So I bought it and transferred all my keys. Imagine that just a little thing with a different color brightens up my life. This is called happiness.
Ashok said…
Delighted Keiko. is that color called marine blue? wearing a scarf of that color with a dull coat or rain coat might be nice too.
keiko amano said…
Ashok, you are amazing. Doctor in engineering, educator, author, spiritualist, economy and political commentator, nutritionist, painter, creator of a color system, adviser on romance, and now a stylist!

On your color suggestion, I think it's good and appropriate.
Ashok said…
Thanks a lot Keiko Amano. I am flattered by your comment :)
keiko amano said…
Ashok,

I haven't replied your last question. I was unsure of the name of the color you have on your title. When I googled entering "marine color," that color wasn't the only one, but it appeared as the lightest of marine color. Today, I was at a writer meeting, and asked this question because a man was wearing his shirt in that color. He didn't know the name because he is color blind, he said, but a long time female member of the group said it was aqua. So, I guess it is aqua which means water in Spanish.

Water does not have color, but when we see rivers or seas, we see reflection of the sky. Since the sky is blue, we see all kinds of blue. So, aqua is not one solid, fixed color, I guess.
keiko amano said…
To my surprise, she said marine is the color of dark jeans. I was totally wrong about those colors. I used to think aqua is dark blue. I'm sorry about this confusion.
Ashok said…
That is OK Keiko. Your color is most likely called Turquoise blue. There is also a turquoise green that has more green in it than blue.
keiko amano said…
Turquoise green sounds good. Thank you, Ashok.
